Useful Information
School Times for full-time children (Year R to Year 4):
- Morning session: 8.45am - 12 noon
- Lunch Break: 12 noon - 1.15pm
- Afternoon session: 1.15pm - 3.00pm.
The safety and welfare of our pupils is always our first concern, and we request that children do not arrive before 8.35am, and are collected at the end of the day by 3.10pm. A teacher will be in the playground each morning from 8.35am.
Children who arrive late (i.e. after registration at 8.45am) should come into school via the main front door, as the classroom doors are locked once all the children are inside.
Occasionally parents are unable to collect their child at the usual time. Please let us know as quickly as possible.
Attendance
If a child is absent from school it is important to let us know as soon as possible by telephoning the school office or to send a letter on his/her return to school. It is also important for us to be informed of any school time appointments that a child must attend.
Collective Worship
A religious assembly takes place each day at Padbury. Our assemblies also focus on Christian festivals and important celebrations of other faiths. We follow a weekly theme and our local vicar at Padbury leads a Thursday assembly. On Wednesday we have a singing assembly and on Friday we hold a Celebration assembly, when we celebrate the achievements of our children.
Lunch Hour
Hot school meals are available on Monday, Thursday and Friday of each week, priced at £2 per meal. School meals need to be pre-ordered. Please kindly ensure that your child's order is submitted before the notified deadline.

Full-time children not having a hot lunch or on days where this is not available need to bring a packed lunch in a named plastic box, to include a drink in a non-breakable container. We have midday supervisors who are part of the team at Padbury. Good behaviour is expected at lunch times and the midday supervisors reward this by giving the children stickers.
