Parents & Friends Association (PFA)
About the PFA
The PFA is run by the parents of Padbury School and Pre-School to raise funds for items of equipment or extra curricular activities which will be of benefit to our children during their time at school and pre-school. All parents automatically become members of the PFA when their children start school and/or pre-school. In the past, we have funded projects such as annual school trips, puppet theatre visits in school and the annual Christmas party. We have also bought new gym equipment, large play apparatus and books for the library as well as helping to fund the outdoor play area and garden.
We raise money by organizing events such as the Summer Fete, the Christmas Bazaar and other community events. We like to encourage as many parents as possible to attend our meetings, which are informal get-togethers where we discuss new and exciting ways of raising money and also have a bit of fun whilst doing so. We always extend a very warm welcome to any new parents as they often bring fresh and original ideas to the meetings!
Listed below are the telephone numbers of some of our committee members. If there is anything you would like to discuss with us, we are only too happy to help.
We usually advertise any meetings of the PFA via the school newsletter or by posting notices on the school doors. You will also find this information on the school website www.padburyschool.org.uk.
We hope to see you at one of our future meetings.
