What Makes Us Special

We are very proud of the ethos that exists in our school where sharing and co-operation with one another are fostered and developed. We strongly believe in creating a positive self image and promoting self esteem; success at every level is rewarded and celebrated.

We place particular emphasis on personal, social and cultural development, where attitudes of mutual respect, care and responsibility to all within the school community are constantly promoted. OFSTED (December 2008) rated the personal development and well-being of our children as outstanding.

We encourage strong links between school, home and parish, and our parents, local clergy and governors are all actively involved. We are very proud of our local community and appreciative of the support the school is given. We pride ourselves on our family atmosphere and friends of our school are always welcome.

We have especially close links with both our local churches. The National Society Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools Report said "the distinctiveness and effectiveness of Padbury as a Church of England school are outstanding." (January 2009). The Christian ethos is at the heart of our school, where we promote values that guide the children's daily lives and which are reflected in their confident, caring and respectful attitudes.

We are a small school but with excellent facilities. Our teacher : pupil ratios are unparalleled. We provide nutritious, locally cooked hot lunches three days a week. We have extensive outdoor play areas and green space. And we run different extra-curricular activities and clubs throughout the school year.
